Larry De Guia, OMI, is a Medical
Doctor. His yes to the call of the Lord made him leave his profession.
He is the first Filipino Medical Doctor ordained as an OMI missionary priest. |
Fr.
Joe Arong, OMI, is a Ph.D. graduate
in International Development Education from Stanford University.
He is presently assigned as the Director of Research & Planning in
the Archdiocese of San Francisco, USA. |
Fr.
Jimmy Del Rosario, OMI, was a
UP Philosophy Professor. In the same school, he graduated Magna Cum
Laude but gave up his teaching career as a consequence of his yes to God's
call. |
Bro.
Gonnie Bongao, OMI, is a licensed
Electrical Engineer. His yes meant giving up his promising career
as an Engineer in a private company. Bro. Gonnie is now a professed
OMI brother. |
Archbishop
Orly Quevedo, OMI, is the first
Filipino OMI President of Notre Dame University in Cotabato City.
He was chosen as a TOYM Awardee for education in 1973. He is presently
the Archbishop of Nueva Segovia, Ilocos Sur. |
Fr.
Ben Carreon, OMI, was awarded
Best Radio Commentator in 1970 while working as the News Director of Radio
Veritas. He founded Operation Pag-ibig, a scholarship program which
has sent hundreds of indigent children to school. He has also appeared
in two movies: "Iniibig kita, Fr. Salvador" and "Babae, sa Likod
ng Salamin". |
A. Pre-Novitiate Stage:
Four (4) years of College Studies,
for High School Graduates,
at De Mazenod Seminary, Quezon City.
One (1) year of Aspirancy, for Young Professionals,
OMI Postulancy House in Tamontaka, Cotabato City.
B. Post-Novitiate Stage:
One year and a half (1-1/2) of Novitiate at
OMI Novitiate, Tamontaka, Cotabato City;
Two (2) years to finish Philosophy and four (4) years of Theology
at Ateneo de Manila (Loyola School of Theology) or
at the Maryhill School of Theology, Manila.
