Thursday night it snowed. No school on Friday. Yay! And it kept snowing. A lot. About mid-afternoon a branch fell through our neighbour's shed, ripping it open. But they are on vacation, so we put a tarp over it. At the same time my little brother threw up...on the window. And he watched, too sick to move, as a little bird was crushed by snow falling off a tree, suffocated, and died.
Saturday started off with no power. Still snowing. No storm, no wind, just the wieght of snow. We got about a foot at my house, and whatever we get, the rest of the city gets 4 times the amount (I live by the water). My friend was walking home at night and saw branches hit the power lines. 2 am the power went out. All through the day we huddled by our fire, trying to keep warm. It was cold. Mid-afternoon, the power came on. 5 minutes later, it went out again. Finally, at 5:30pm it came on. Now, an hour later, I am warm and fed again.
The rest of the city, and 5 or 6 other cities around this area, were all hit just as bad. Thousands of people were without power for the day. Almost the whole city, and the other cities, were hammered hard. We only get big snowfalls like this once in awhile, when the wind comes from the direction of Whistler (#1 ski resort in North America). Last one was '96. The rest of the time its a few light snowfalls in January, maybe one that actually sticks, and thats it. Living in Canada, but we never get snow.
But there is still branches falling everywhere, so it may go out again. We'll see.
Anyway, on to the comic.
Henry likes this one. WE'RE (almost) NAKED!!!! I had fun making this one. ^_^
The first entry strip for a new character (read my rant from last comic) will be the next update (hopefully Tuesday) and will be for Meiko. This is because his was freakin' easy to make. You'll all love his hair. Also, Kat (Alden's friend IRL) is also now to be included among us. That will be 14 characters to use, and I can't use 14 characters. There will be times when some go without an appearance for awhile. And I think none of you with your character in it will like that. I get the feeling that this may be my downfall. Damn. Ah well.
Next update...Tuesday. Hopefully.
