Storm Update : As of 6PM  Tropical Storm PRAPIROON (NINA) continues to gain strength as it moves WNW slowly...enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAoR). This system remains far away at sea and not a threat to the Philippine Islands. But we will not eliminate the possibility that it may landfall in Bicol-Central-E.Northern Luzon -Taiwan area & Japan area in the next few days.

Forecast Track :
Prapiroon (Nina) continue moving on a westward slowly track during the 24hrs with a gradually turn to the West-NorthWest between 36hrs to 48hrs (2 days). Around 3 days Prapiroon (Nina) may start to track very slowly to Northwest direction with a shift to North-NorthWest around the North Philippine Sea. Prapiroon (nina) will remain in North Philippine Sea until Thursday.
TUESDAY EVENING: Becomes a typhoon as it moves West-NorthWest  slowly over the warm North Philippine Sea about 1119 km east of Santa Ana, Cagayan [6PM OCT 09: 18.2N 132.8E @ 140kph].
WEDNESDAY EVENING: Strengthens to a Category 2 typhoon as it moves to Northwestward track...about 1012 km east-northeast of Santa Ana, Cagayan [6PM OCT 10: 19.0N 131.8E @ 165kph].
THURSDAY EVENING: Nears Category 3 strength, turns north-northwestward while over North Philippine Sea...about 975 east-southeast of Santa Ana, Cagayan [6PM OCT 11: 19.7N 131.3E @ 175kph].
