Hello everyone,
I am going to answer honestly. I do not regard time most of the time. I do when it comes to work though, which shows where my mind is. We regard time when it is beneficial to us. But what some of us don't think about (including myself), is that being on time to whatever event will be beneficial, whether it is a church event or not. One, it shows our respect to God and others, which is honorable. And two, when we are late we distract others as well as lose out on what we missed. So I am praying that this little question will stay with me so that I can make a better effort.

Good morning Saints,
I was in two minds to answer this question. I am very passionate when it comes to time management. Maybe sometimes too much so. However, this scripture stands out to me. Whatsoever you do, do as unto God and not unto man. Yes comning to the place of worship, its very important to be on time, for all the reasons that Olivia gave. But also the word said, whatsoever you do. See, we have to be faithful in all things, because whatever we do suppose to reflect The God in us, how we do it when we do it. It tell how much we respect The Father, and how we really feel about Him. He deserves the best of our life, and remember we live only one life. Not only when we come to church and when we out there we do something else or do it however we feel, and sometimes we don't do what we have to do because we don't feel like doing it. If God cannot trust us with these simple things how can He entrust us with all the blessings He have for us? Even to impart the spiritual gifts to us. WILL WE BE FAITHFUL? This behavior set limitations in our life. Let us examine ourselves.

This a deep topic. Sister Olivia and Sister Lydia have made some great points so I will focus on another angle.

Time is very important factor in even being in the right place for God to us us. Sometimes I feel we have missed out on some huge blessings and opportunities because we are not in tuned with time. Missing out should relay to us that we need to fix whatever is in our heart. Procastination and laziness are killers of time management. If anyone is dealing with these weaknesses, watch out, this may be the cause of your tardiness. There may be other factors involved, but thewse two are culprits as well. Paying attention to why we do what we do will help fix the things that are conflicting with living in excellence. Time is very precious, and if we regard it as such, we will never waste time. I hope this will encourage all of us to pay more attention to time management, because "time is truly of the essence".

Oh yeh, I got carried away, I do regard time. It is very important to me because I realize I miss out on a lot when I am not on time. Plus everything I do is for God, so because I regard God, I regard time.

Wow! these are some really strong points and it leaves no room for continued "procastination" and "laziness" as Rolda pointed out. I too have a high regard for time. I have been taught in the business world that it speaks volume about you and plays an important part in earning the trust and respect of clients. I must agree that in the times when I do not heed time, I have minimal interest in the event/activity/meeting or whatever is scheduled. I must say Sis Rolda, that this topic does present an opportunity for some personal examination. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Bottom Line:

Time management tell alot about a person. Our interest, and even our character.

For me at times, it is laziness. I can't say all of the times. But I endeavor to persue excellence in this area of my life.

Let's turn the table a little. As a professional, I have high regard for time and I am generaly a timely person. When it comes to paying the bills, work and more so church for I don't have a choice cause I have a husband who believes in opening the church doors and closing them so I am always early. BUt I want to discuss overtime. Do I spend the quality time I need to with God's business? Ouch! I am doing tripple time at work late nights coming home. What time does my relationship get with my family, my God and my personal self- Me? Something to think about ladies. Ouch Ouch Ouch? This topic sis H is really self examining. What's gets our "priority time"? If we listed our activities and then gave each of them the "time" spent will it be balanced? Sorry for taking up so much time but I had to keep it real.

Thank you for keep it real Sis Julie R. I mean, it's true. Maybe it's something to sit down and revaluate in our lives, so we can see what is really taking up our time.

For me! Yes I regard time very much.I hate to waste my time and others. Our yes should be yes and no should be no. because whatever we do in life, we do it unto God.We should be straight forward in whatever we do it shows respect to our Heavenly father, and that he could trust and use us in every capacity he sees fit to use us.Time is precious we should not waste it. Let us do our selves a favour and examine our heart.
