In this section you can take a look at some of the websites I have created and read about the techniques which were used to create them. Having first learnt HTML 6 years ago, it allows me to better understand the workings of a website and debug problems encountered when using new tools such as Dreamweaver and Frontpage.

British Racing Organisation:

Here is a site created for The British Racing Organisation, a team competing in an online grand prix tournement. The site itself was created partially in pure html before being converted into a dreamweaver template for ease of duplication onto sub pages and a better flow of information. Click the picture itself to take you live to the website.

TransWars:

This site was created as a fan site but has since closed. The site itself was written purely in html and featured many of the older and more complex scripting. Image maps and frames were made use of, allowing easy navigation. At this time, frames were chosen over a template because of a lower level of knowledge. However if the site was to be re constructed now, the same mistake would not be made. For the site a great deal of 2d images had to be constructed to give it a bright and colourful look.

Holiday Chalet Website

Another early website created was that for a fictonal chalet holiday company. As part of a University project this site included features such as booking forms, avaiability logs and auto updating weather reports sourced from a supplier. The site itself was to be aimed at OAP customers and as such featured a more reserved "dated" look. Some small java scripts were included to add extra effects to the main page.

ther old college websites

Throughout my college years as a distraction from A level's I first came involved in using the internet and quickly grew an interest in web design. This spawned many small simple sites which were mainly to do with hobbies and interests as well as trying out and building up new skills and techniques.
