During my time at the agency I was employed to factories and took part in manual work. This “hands on” experience taught me valuable lessons in industrial activities and the importance of keeping to set deadlines.

At this placement of employment during a holiday period I gained extensive knowledge of all regions of office work including IT systems, Filing methods and had responsibilities for ensuring documents were ready on time and completing general office tasks which included taking important messages by numerous methods of communication.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Signology April 1999- May 1999
During work experience here I gathered information on the running of a small business with all the factors involved. My work here involved the creation of signs and similar items out of various materials. It also gave me experience of such tasks as taking orders, using IT design and general shop duties.

HM Customs & Excise April 1997- May 1997
Learned valuable knowledge about business structures and aspects of Health and Safety and Human Resource Management as well as picking up skills in the office workplace and communication practices.
