After Yusuke Urameshi finds out that he was hired by Koenma as a Spirit World Detective. He gets involved in unusual problems.

A few days after Urameshi’s reincarnation, a problem just came up.

3 important items of the spirit world were stolen and needed to be returned in a week before Koenma’s father finds out.

The three magical items were a soccerball, that absorbs spirits; a mirror, that grants any wish for a life; and a sword, that turns anything it hits into monsters.

So he begins his search with the help of Botan’s magical detective tools, he was able to find the first one easily.

The second thing he found was the mirror, stolen by Kurama. Kurama stole the mirror for his dying mother, he is willing to sacrifice his life for her. Kind hearted Yusuke offers his life instead, and because of his sympathy, the mirror granted the wish for free.

Finally, Hiei, the one who stole te sword, the one who turned Yusuke’s best friend Keiko to one of his monsters. A tough oppeonent for Yusuke, he needs to defeat him in order to cure Keiko’s condition. He outwits Hiei with his spiritual power: raygun. He acquires the sword afterwards.

When his life looks normal again. Another mission just came up. Genkai, the master of the Spirit Wave Technique is passing down her powers to her successor. In order to choose the successor, she made a tournament match and whoever wins is the successor.

Urameshi’s task is to find “Rando”, who is after Genkai’s powers for his selfish purposes. He must win ythe touranament or Rando will.

With him, his friend Kuwabara joins the tournament. After passing test after test, they pass the semi finals, still they didn’t find Rando. Kuwabara fights a guy named Sholin. Sholin caasted a shrink spell on Kuwabara and defeats him effortlessly.

Urameshi and Sholin won the semi-finals. They fought in the last fight. After a long tiring battle, Yusuke defeats Sholin. Yusuke won the battle but the war isn’t over. Later, they discovered that Sholin was Rando after all! Yusuke is tired, power hungry Rando is angry and beats Yusuke. Rando casts the shrink spell again but fortunately, Yusuke didn’t hear the shrink spell, so it backfired. Rando shrinked! And Yusuke squashed Rando with his elbow.

After spending weeks at Genkai’s place, training to get the Spirit Wave technique, yusuke returns to his home to rest and relax for a while. Botan arrives and brings the bad news ^_^;; People got possesed by tiny evil insects from the other world. He must stop this before everyone gets possesed.

After informing Yusuke and Kuwbara, they went to the other world. Their mission is to find the insect flute that can be acquired by defeating the 4 Sacred Beasts.

Unfortunately, Yusuke and Kuwabara landed on a bunch-o’-enemies that they cannot defeat. Good thing Koenma sent Kurama and Hiei to help them, provided that their penalty will be lighter.

Now, with Kurama and Hiei’s help, they were able to defeat the 4 Sacred Beasts and acquire the insect flute.

Returning home, Kuwabara decided to set aside the detective job.On their way, they met Hiei, and Hiei handed them a video tape containing his next mission. His next mission: To save a girl named Yukina, who’s tears become pearls.

Yusuke watched the video tape at Kuwabara’s place. Kuwabara got attracted to Yukina and decided to join the party again.

But, there was a big problem, 2 brothers, clled the Tuguro brothers are guarding Yukina, and he’s really strong.

The news arrived late for Kuarama and Hiei so they hurried to Yukina’s place to help Yusuke, Kuwabara and especially, Yukina.

Yusuke and Kuwabara had a tough battle with the Toguro Brothers. But their teamwork defeated the Toguros.

When Kurama and Hiei arrived, the abttle was over and they saved Yukina from harm.

Hiei is reunited with his twin sister, Yukina, is surprised that Yukina didn’t know that Hiei is her twin brother. Hiei, didn’t mind at all. He said that’s its better that way.

The LOOOOOOONGEST part of the YYH Series is the Tournament, I think there are more or less 40 episodes out of 120 or is it 122 episodes of YYH.

What happened? The Toguro bros’ didn’t die in their previous battle for Yukina so they challenged Urameshi’s team for a Tournament or their city will be destroyed.

Yusuke’s team joined the tournament, I know it is really long, so I’ll only tell you the important parts.

Yusuke’s team had a new team mate andeventually, they found out that she was Genkai! They also discovered that Toguro and Genkai were former teammates and champions 50 years ago so she wore a mask to hide from Toguro.

Genkai, knew that she was going to die so she passed her Spirit Wave Technique to Yusuke and fought Toguro, she lost the match and died.

Genkai’s death left a hole on everybody’s heart. Which causes Yusuke’s rage and will to defeat Toguro. So Yusuke beated the Toguro bros....blah..blah..blah...and since he won, he will be able to make a single wish, his wish is Genkai’s revival so Genkai is alive again!

The older Toguro brother (short annoying guy) survived and summoned the most evil and powerful creature in the world, he summoned a human named Sensui Shinoba.

Sensui and Toguro’s plan of opening a portal to earth and the evil spirit’s world were “almost” the same so they joined forces.

Sensui gathered a team to help him. So why exactly they want to open a portal? They hate humans (even though they are humans too), after they’ve watched a video tape of the spirit world called “The Black Chapter” containing the capabilities of human’s manipulation to his evil powers, that tape changed their point of view, especially Sensui who once was a spirit world detective who killed thousands of evil spirits before, when he was Yusuke’s age.

Sensui was unstoppable and the only thing that the spirit world can do was to create a barrier for class A and S enemies (strong types of enemies, Toguro was a class B).

Sensui didn’t like the idea so he looked for someone who has the power to cut through the barrier so they can pass. Guess who’s the gifted one, its KUWABARA! Hard to believe but true.

Sensui’s team abducted Kuwabara and he was forced to slice the barrier.

Sensui’s plan was a complete success. No one can defeat him now.

Yusuke grew stronger, ‘coz his real father is a class S spirit and his real mother is human (that makes him a class S human monster???...close! ^_^)

Yusuke and Sensui fought one on one and no one was able to stop their fight, not even Kuwabara, Koenma, Kurama or Hiei (K&H became class As)

He was about to lose the fight until his father, Raizen possesed him and manipulated his powers. He defeated Sensui with a HUGE raygun. Sensui’s life is done for!

Sensui’s last words were “I’ve killed many of innocent monsters inour world, so I wanted to go here so monsters can kill me in their own world...”

The final part of the YYH story was another Tournament on the evil spirits’ world (not as long as the Toguro tournament!).

Yusuke wanted to meethis 1000 year old father, Raizen. Kurama and Hiei were invited by old friends, Yomi and Mukuro. Each has their own purposes, Yusuke’s father will die so he needs Yusuke to be his successor of their kingdom. Mukuro looks for a right hand assistant and Yomi needs Kurama for his plans.

When Raizen died, Yusuke is the only one left and so, he ruled their Kingdom, buthe doesn’t know how. So he called on a Tournament and whoever wins is the new king of the whole evil spirit world.

The tournament was held, Kurama trained with Yomi and Cuu’s group, Hiei is with Mukuro training too. Yusuke trained with some of Raizen’s friends.

The days of the tournament were VERY DRAMATIC, things from their pasts, silly battles and some enemies end up as friends here. At the end, Yomi won.

Yusuke Urameshi returns home. With Keiko and Kuwabara and all his friends and they lived happily ever after!
