Adobe Photoshop 5.5 tutorial
There are MORE features, tricks and stuff that Adobe Photoshop 5.5 can do, but I won't elaborate ("ilaboret on dat! ilaboret on dat!") on that much, I'll teach ya' the basics!
STEP1
Scan your drawing, but before you scan, be sure you have no open lines in the outline so it'll be a lot easier for you to color the pic.
STEP3
After selecting the hair, click the "gradient tool"choose the hair color, i chose these 2, a blue(forground) and a darker blue(background), select the scheme , I chose forground to background and look at the preview...

Select "Magic Wand" from the tools, I clicked the Wand to his hair because that's the part where I wanted to color him first.

Takenote of these, click the brush tool, then choose "Screen"(to lighten colors) in the brush mode, thenconfigure your brush in the brushes options. Remember, DO NOT CHANGE THE COLOR if you want a clean look.

From the colors we've selected and the scheme we chose, then click and drag so we can create this foreground to background effect

DO NOT use the magic wand tool yet or change the color, from step 5 , you are ready to apply the color, just swoosh the cursor on the hair and presto, instant hair shine! do the same thing to darken some parts of his hair, but in the paintbrush options, choose MULTIPLY instead of SCREEN.
STEP7
Now coloring the skin, if you do this on your own, you will realize that the Magic Wand tool will not cover all of the whole face, so you must ADD a selection by pressing Shift+Left Click, to SUBTRACT the selection,. press ALT+Left Click.
STEP8
click the gradient tool again and do the same thing but if you noticed the ONLY PART THAT IT'LL FILL IS THE SELETED AREA. Repeat the steps and you'll finsih coloring!.
