| John Garrison Age: 16 Occupation: Student Driver and builder of VooDoo, VooDoo 2, and Atom Smasher, assistant builder to X-Death. Expertise in drivetrain, control systems, and CAD design. James Wines Age: 16 Occupation: Student Driver and builder of X-Death, Assistant builder for VooDoo 2. Expertise in weapons, weapon testing (fun), and some metal/armor. HISTORY: Omegaforce was started in November of 2000 by John Garrison and Trent Smith. We designed two bots, Execution Style and Scorpiomega. John built a 10 lb. thwackbot to test with but it was destroyed by a radio burnout (inexperience). In early 2001 Steven Morgan and Alex Shaffer joined the team as weapons/electronics assistants, ES was redesigned and Scorpiomega was shelved. Shortly after, James Wines joined the team as a metal expert. In early 2002 Alex left the team and Steven moved away. John and James split off and became team Warbladez. Recently we returned to our original name, Omegaforce. The team is now John Garrison and James Wines. Trent is still a design advisor and is rumored to be building his own bot. In June 2002 we completed our first functional bot, VooDoo. |
