The Hunt

The sun sets,
the world comes to a hush.
Creatures of night awake,
calls of the wild can be heard.
A breeze blows softly,
nature calls out my name.
The sky becomes darkened,
stars sparkle like eyes in the night.
Visions of the hunt I see,
panic in their faces I enjoy.
One lonely soul I touch,
so sweet I do embrace.
Caressing her smooth skin to mine,
taking all her fears away.
A lovely girl she is,
a smile to her I do give.
Words of comfort she does hear,
as I whisper in her ear.
"Tis only I that has come for thee,
and in my darkness you will be."
Kissing gently down her cheek,
feeling her heart beat and skip.
Arms of a child I do feel,
holding me tight and so near.
I stroke her hair to sooth her more,
on her neck I do explore.
In this passion I deeply bite,
taking from her a sweet life.
In my arms she becomes so limp,
the death of my kiss upon my lips.
I drop her here,
a dead child she is.
I turn to walk back into the night,
only a climps of her smile remains in mind.
Her blood lingers on my tongue,
a sweet taste I got from this one.
Another I will chase,
it is the hunt that I embrace.
