the symbol on bob's shirt is a hindu symbol for "om", as in
"om bob"
(frends of the tavern should get this... look at the address, baka!)

one day, I was messing around with diffrent ideas for characters, and I came up with one that looked like riff (from sluggy freelance)
combined with silent bob (from the view askewnevers)
it's wierd enough to fit nova's character, and it looks cool besides.
