This was the main message coming from the Olympiakos fans after the goalless draw against Digenis that guaranteed Olympiakos' place in the First division of the Cyprus FA league for next year. Congratulations to the Club Committee, the manager and staff, the players and finally the Olympiakos' fans that supported their team with a massive display on Saturday (THREE THOUSAND SUPPORTERS). Olympiakos send Dighenis down

Olympiakos Nicosia FC were spared relegation in Cyprus after holding Dighenis Akritas Morphou FC to a 0-0 draw - a result which saw Dighenis go down.
Near misses
: Three points ahead of their opponents going into the game, Olympiakos needed just a draw to avoid the drop. Urged on by around 5,000 supporters (UEFA ?confused? Olympiakos' with Dighenis' fans) at the Makarios Centre, home side Dighenis could not find that elusive goal that could have preserved their status in the first division next season despite going agonisingly close twice in the second period.
Blocked shot
: Uruguayan midfielder Edgardo Alberto Adinolfi and Petar Djeni? both hit the woodwork for Olympiakos in the first half, but Dighenis showed more threat in the second period and should have gone in front on 50 minutes when Greek striker Stavros Vangelopoulos raced clear. Goalkeeper Demetris Stylianou could only parry his shot but Nicos Nicolaou blocked Antonis Antoniou's subsequent effort.
Nicolaou heroism
: The Dighenis players fell knew that their luck was out in the fifth minute of added time. During a scramble in the Olympiakos area, Stylianou somehow managed to miss a high ball and had defender Nicolaou to thank once again for blocking Norbert Farkas's shot on the line.
