19/1/2007 Panigutti trains with Olympiakos.
Emerson Panigutti has signed an 18 month long contract with Olympiakos. He is the fifth new arrival in the team after Sladjan Spasic, Petar Djenic, Georgi Hristov and Hugo Machado. Unfortunately he will probably not be able to play in the local derby against APOEL as the papers needed for his inscription in the Cyprus League have not yet arrived from the Argentinian FA. On the other hand Olympiakos is hoping to receive Georgi Hristov�s papers in time for the player to be allowed to play on Sunday. The match against APOEL is extremely difficult, with the Cyprus League leaders being the favourites to win. Olympiakos, which is currently bottom of the league and desperate for points, are expected to offer stern resistance. The weekend fixtures and current league table are as follows:
