English team Barnsley signed him for 1.5 million, a club record fee but they didn't use him much. Following the relegation of Barnsley from the FA Premier League, Hristov eventually moved to NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands. During his second season (2000/2001) at the club he scored seven goals in the first three matches. Having trouble with injuries on both knees, he moved to Scottish club Dunfermline Athletic in January 2005, playing there for six months before leaving for Debrecen (Hungary). Hristov is FYROM's national football team's all-time leading scorer, with 16 goals. |
