OLYMPIAKOS NICOSIA FC |
19/11/2007 Consecutive defeats Two consecutive defeats against Apollonas and Nea Salamina, saw Olympiakos loosing important points in the league. In both games Olympiakos was ahead in the score but failed to maintain its advantage. Against Apollon, Olympiakos lost 3-2 having opened the score line with Gonzalez but shortly afterwards Apollon equalized and Olympiakos went down to 10 men. Apollonas took advantage of the extra player to score two more goals but Machado gave Olympiakos a lifeline with a splendid goal to make the score 3-2. Unfortunately, Olympiakos went down to 9 men as Nikolaou followed Grzybowski in the dressing room; leaving Olumpiakos with no chance for an equalizer. In the second defeat, Olympiakos was a goal down to Nea Salamina but two great goals from Djenic and Machado gave our team the lead. A lapse in the Olympiakos defense helped Nea Salamina to level the score. Olympiakos could have taken the lead again but De Porras effort hit the crossbar. Unfortunately, Nea Salamina was more efficient in attack and managed to score two goals in the last stages of the game to seal victory. |
