Olympiakos took all three points from Paralimni thanks to a strike from Gonzalez on the 32nd minute of the match. It was a deserved victory as Olympiakos could have scored more goals, particularly in the 2nd half. It was a great result for Barrios who started his period in Olympiakos with a victory that lifted the team from the last two places of the league and sent optimistic messages ahead of the first cup tie against Omonia. Olympiakos played with: Stylianou, N. Nikolaou, N. Nikolaou, Rodriguez (72 M. Nikolaou), Papaionannou, Machado, Panigutti, Gonzalez (76 Pittas), Injai (58 Deugoui), Grzybowski and Djenic.
