A TALE OF TWO CITIES (SOCHI AND LOS ANGELES)
– PART II

In the middle of Youri’s and Olga’s visit to Los Angeles, the president
of the Greater Los Angeles chapter paid a visit to Sochi, Russia to see Olga
Demidova, the president of the Sochi chapter. Olga Demidova, an old friend
from the 40th Anniversary Conference in Newport Beach, came with her husband
Valerij to meet Marsha when she arrived in Sochi.
The two chapter presidents exchanged gifts and traded information about
Youri’s and Olga’s visit to Los Angeles. The president of the Greater
Los Angeles chapter also carried messages from Youri and Olga R. to their
families in Sochi.
The visit was short but very heart-warming and included a driving tour
through Sochi, a trip to the Sochi mountains (photos below), a stop at
the local Greek restaurant (photo below) and a visit to an Orthodox
Russian church.
When the visit was over, Olga and Valerij said their good-byes and extended
an invitation to all members of the Greater Los Angeles chapter to come and
visit them in Sochi Russia.
