Rules
Music Ministry Rules! In order for our ministry to "rule", there are certain rules that members must understand and learn to work with.
- Be here for 6:30 on Thursdays (every other Thursday) to help setup
- Do not arrive any later than 7:00! If you do show up late, come back in two weeks. We’ll be happy to have you. This rule is in place in order to keep an organized ministry as well as a respectful ministry
- You must make Thursday practice in order to play for the next two weekends
- We will pray for 30 min during practice and 15 minutes before mass
- Be here at 4:00 before mass. Do not arrive later than 4:15. Same rules apply. I need you here for setup and prayer.
- During mass, no loud or unneccesary disruptions.
- Try to leave all personal problems at home. I’m only asking a try.
- Please do not "hack" when a discussion or tuning is going on.
- When mass is over, please help pick up cables, stands, anything Use common sense.
Concerns
I know some of you have been here longer than I have. I respect your experience. As leader of this, I may ask you for something and may not give a reason. I just might know something you don’t and don’t have the time to explain it. I am open to ideas and will take to heart all of them, yet some decisions I make may be based on other things that aren’t always present to everyone. If you feel I’m making a mistake on something, let me know. But If I choose to continue, then let me learn. Learning is a powerful tool. During a transition, the most valuable and difficult thing is patience. I thank you for your patience.
This music ministry involves three things. Music, Patience, Prayer. I am returning this ministry to a more prayerful one. I encourage personal prayer outside of the ministry, but I will devote some time to group prayer because that strengthens us. This is another reason for the strict time.
