The Yoshi Era

by TK~Max_Kepler

The Yoshi Era was a good time. Although filled with its remorse, sadness, and trials, it gave so many of us so many good times. It built our friendships everlasting, and our clan immortal. Enough with the mushy stuff already, right? Okay, straight into the history we go. The Yoshi Era began first with the finding of old members -- Grim, Neo, and Green. During this period, Yoshi was the Leader and I the co-leader. We began recruiting, and soon found Zeratul. As much of a thorn Zeratul has been to us now and then, he was a good member. In fact, he was responsible for the joining of Admiral Jimmy himself. And thus continued the Yoshi Era for some time. I will mention one individual by the name of Mudvayne who will forever be remembered. He was recruited, and was a decent member at first. He had several quarrels with other members. Until one day he suddenly become the truly worst member I have ever seen. Our clan's forgiving nature kept him in too long until myself had to step in and remove him (I preferred to wait for Yoshi's action) myself. Mudvayne's actions really put me out of recruiting for a very long time. During the Yoshi Era, there were many periods of inactivity. It was during those times that the more unconfident and less loyal members were weeded out, declaring that TK was 'dead.' But we lasted through those times. Another thing to mention was Grim's monthly suicide/leave-clan threats. There were approximately four or five. Each time, it turned out for good, which we are glad of! Finally, about after Grim's regular threats ended, Jim and I began moving off to Darkspace and Yoshi with his Yoshi-friends. Grim was about the only one who kept us together with his long speeches (wonderful, I might add). Somewhere along the line, I resigned my commission as co-leader, declaring myself insufficient for the leadership position I was in. Jim was my successor. Soon, I left as well, due to complications in my personal life. However, more happenings in my personal life caused me to rejoin sooner than I had expected. But finally, when we started coming together againthe inevitable happened. Yoshi left us. It was a sad time for the clan indeed. The man responsible for our friendships, our good moments, left us. He will always be remembered in our clan as the Great Leader who really put the clan's roots into the ground. But this time, the clan had learned from its mistakes. The Great Separation would not happen again. We took up in a vote who would be the clan leader. Jim was elected, with Grim as his co-leader. And thus began the Jimmy Era, and looking very prosperous, but it is a story to be told to a new TK generation some other time.
