| Ambridge - August 24 The 2004 Cross-country season began with a scrimmage on a hot sticky day.Running at their home course, both teams stuck it out and ran their race.For some it was their first race of the season and for others it was their first race ever, but for all it was a challenging new course full of towering hills and uneven paths. Leading the boys was Dave Kapela followed by Drew Zivic. The girls were led by Mary Beth Martin, who made her high school debut. She was followed by Shelly Kocsuta, and another freshman Danica Vonvolkenburg.This race left a lot of room for improvement and these teams are sure to progress in no time! |
| Moon - August 27 The heat was still a problem when OLSH went to compete at Moon, but still they dealt with it! Both the girls and boys' overall times improved.The boys were led by Dave Kapela, followed by Drew Zivic. For the girls Mary Beth Martin led, follwed by Emily Canny, Shelly Kocsuta,Haley Stutz, and Marlee Stutz. |
