The combination of various styles of music, along with a major dose of punk rock attitude, has made Relapse the best new band to ever come out of Orange County. With influences ranging from Pantera, to Rage Against the Machine, from White Zombie, to Suicidal Tendencies, and of course the all-mighty Black Sabbath! This four piece band can hold their own with any band and will never fear going toe to toe with any band onstage. The collaboration between McDuffey and guitarist Nick Harman has resulted in some of the most intense, ball busting, gutt wrenching guitar riffs you will ever hear. Nick's presence on stage along with that of wild man lead singer Jeff Gerde is reminiscent of the most classic onstage guitar/singer duo's of all time. Let's not forget Relapse's drummer, Greg Yocum, (a.k.a. shorty loco), who is without a doubt one of the finest you will ever see.
Finally, in closing we would just like to say that Relapse's belief in heavy music show's through in their attitude. This band is all about aggression. Today's bands that are more interested in putting on a fashion show and proving what big poseurs they are don't stand a chance in hell against this band.
