..... Went to Nashvlle in 1970 to try to get a job playing bass guitar....didn't work out.

..... Met a publisher from New Yorlk through cousin Billy Sherrill.

..... Got a job running tapes and workin in the office for gallico surrounded by sonwriters like Billy Sherrill, Nora Wilson, Glen Sutton, and Carmal Taylor. You could'nt help but learn something!

..... I had my frirst two songs recorded at age 17
by George Jones and Tammy Wynette...(One Country).. Love Is All We Need, and
(One Gospel)...When Jesus Comes To Take His Children Home.
Both were written with Duke Goff.

..... Through the next 15 to 20 years, I had songs recorded by Tanya Tucker, Charlie Rich, Joe Stampley, Brenda Lee, David Allen Coe, T.G. Shepard, Lacy J. Dalton, Don Hunley, Paul Anka, John Anderson, Marlo Smith and many more.
