Holy Ghost Parish - Bangalore


This is where it all began; St. Gerard. The pictures below show the seminary at St. Gerard in Bangalore, where the Redemptorists first set up shop, as well as a side view of the building.

On either side of the Church are the Monastery and the Seminary. The Monastery is on the right and the Seminary is on the left. The whole structure is designed in such a way that the aerial view of the buildings appears like a dove with wings outstretched; a reference to the Holy Spirit to whom this church is dedicated. This structure is so large and noticable that aeroplane pilots use it as a marker on their approach route to Bangalore airport
