After the gel-coat was completely dry (car was sitting in the sun for more
than one week to dry), the car was sanded and primed. The last imperfections
were corrected and the base-coat and later the clear coat were applied. The
following images show the car in primer and later in base-coat. After I received
the car back from the body shop - I drove first to Sam's Club to have new
tires put on my new Crager SS rims and then back to my mechanic to have all
the engine bolt-ons installed. (Chrome Sidemount Headers and Sidepipes, polished
Edelbrock TM-1 Intake, chrome hi-flow water pump, chrome alternator
and brackets, Holley 750 Carb, 50000 Volt HEI Ignition and much more.) During
the car was sitting at the mechanic I had access to the car. I installed myself
a new convertible top, carpet, seats, Autometer Phantom Gauges, steering wheel
.......
Since then I fixed up the electrical system, had the front end rebuilt,
added dual electric fans, a CD Sound System.... To see some current photos
