I must begin by saying that no words can really describe the feeling I got watching this fantastic musical, but I'll try my best and that's all I can do lol. After recovering from a 20 hour flight and seeing some of the beautiful sights of New York, it was finally time for JEKYLL AND HYDE WHOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I never thought it was possible for Baz' voice because it has always been the best voice ever, but his singing has done nothing but get more amazing over the years.
I was in awe over his acting as Dr Henry Jekyll but then he did the transformation to Mr Edward Hyde and it was AMAZING. At this point i'm getting that feeling of excitement and pride all mixed together in the pit of my stomach, especially when he let out that famous Baz scream :-) THAT was when I really going "WOW"!!! He was so passionate with his portrayal of both Jekyll and Hyde. I could just tell that he loved what he was doing!!
The last scene of the first act was absolutly fantastic (this is where Hyde kills the priest) It was so well done it was killer (excuse the pun lol) My FAVOURITE part of the show was where he sang "Confrontation" He is battling between his 2 sides during this song and I was like "that's our baz" haha.
Overall, the whole performance was AMAZING, EXCELLENT, FANTASTIC, THRILLING, AWSOME AND DID I MENTION AMAZING!!!!!!! I went BACH the next 2 nights too and they were just as great. After the play I went outside to wait for Baz to come out of the stage entrance, where I met up with Janet (Snakecharm), Laura, Frances and Glitter. You guys are awsome. All of a sudden the stage door flies open and out comes Baz, everyone cheered and he yelled "C'mon, you guys can do better than THAT" lol When Baz found out that I had travelled from Australia he goes "AUSTRALIA?!?!?!" He gave me a hug and said "g'day" lol and he's saying how he hasn't been to Australia since '93 when he toured with Guns N Roses and stuff like that. He posed for a photo with me too (thanks Janet for taking it) I was so happy I finally got to meet him after 12 years.
The guy I had admired since I was 12 years old was so down to earth and friendly and Baz, if you ever read this, we can't wait to see you BACH in Australia, we need you to come down here and kik some Aussie ass!!!
I'd also like to thank Archy for meeting up with me on the Tuesday and showing me around and taking me for a ride on the Subway :-) lol I would've been lost for sure!!!!
