DAD'S ARMY & BEYOND: THE FRANK WILLIAMS STORY was a special documentary about the life and career of actor Frank Williams. The documentary was filmed on location in Edgware, North London, where Frank has lived since he was born, and Thetford, Norfolk, which is where the location filming for Dad's Army was filmed. Oliver arranged for Frank to return to some key locations that were used in the series, and accompanied by the official Dad's Army Trail guide, Frank recollected some great memories from the filming of the series.

The documentary also looks at other aspects of Frank's life and career, including the plays he has written for the stage, his religion, and a trip back to his first house and the park where he played as a child.

The documentary is narrated by Nicholas Courtney, and directed by Mervyn Cumming. The documentary was sent to the BBC, who have shown interest in releasing it as a Special Feature on an upcoming Dad's Army boxed set, as part of the 40th anniversary of the series.
