Arthur and Maria only had the one child - Charles Dewey BRIDGES on 29 January 1893. Maria died from complications of childbirth on 4th February 1894 at Finchley, Middlesex. On 15th September 1897 Arthur married Minnie Harriet HEWITT at Chipping Barnet, Hertfordshire, England. Arthur and Minnie had a daughter Winifred Grace BRIDGES born in 1901 at Finchley, Middlesex. Arthur George Bridges died at Finchley on 22 December 1902 of Sarcoma of the kidney system. After George died, his son Charles Dewey BRIDGES was shipped to Canada under the British Home Childrens Program. Charles ended up living on a farm between Toronto and Kinston, Ontario, Canada. Sometime between 1915 and 1920 Charles married Jessie GOTTS, another British Home Child, in Whitby, Ontario. Charles and Jessie had five children, (four of whom are still living) and 12 grandchildren.
