"Intuition"

Bloated, bubbling - gas and biliousness are troubling…
Waves of feeling spreading down from waist to thighs…
Chest is full of suppressed sighs…
Back is tense and aching, mind is verged on breaking…

Why am I so wound up and alert?
What does this excess of feeling mean?
What disaster must my E.S.P. avert?
What is the experience I’ve 'foreseen?'

Often, I can’t visualise a picture.
Often, I don't really know what serves to cause my body
Stricture, until Fate has moved and dealt it’s blow.

So, I wait, enduring and impatient,
Knowing something bad will soon occur, and
Hoping that the feeling’s only transient yet
Rarely knowing previous times that were.
