Lianne was born in 1958, with her Sun high in the Heavens, in Leo, destined to lead a life where she stands out in a crowd, no matter how hard she might try to hide. She married in 1977, and has three children and four grandchildren. She is an astrologer, metaphysician and healer, empath, writer, artist, graphic designer, and carer. She lives in a specially built house with her disabled son, Sean, her husband and pets, and is visited regularly by her other children and grandchildren. She has worked as an actor in film and television, run businesses of her own, and established an amateur theatre group that existed for a decade. As a youth, she had a promising career as an athlete, and aspirations to become a journalist and novelist, but put these aside to unite with the love of her life, her devoted husband, Kurt. Much of her writing has been done as a natural expression of her spirit. Some poetry has been published, and plays she wrote were produced by her theatre group, on stage. A fantasy-adventure novel is still in progress (very different to the old, outdated excerpt on this site). With a Scorpio ascendant and a Pisces Moon, she is also sensitive and intense, but Mars in Taurus gives her stamina and resilience against the odds. Her angels tell her she is a goddess, and while this is against Western notions, she has come to accept the idea as an expression of her spirit on Earth - not for fame and fortune, but toward a deeply responsible life wherein she can perhaps impart some wisdom and guidance for others. This is in keeping with the spiritual explorations she has pursued all her life, to find answers for the in-built senses she was born with. To this end, Lianne has studied many philosophies, religions, and spiritual paths, and many modes of prophecy. In the end, her conclusion is that all she has ever found outside herself was already within herself, and no prophecy has ever been as valid as those she herself has dreamt or foreseen (at least, for her and her family). Lianne follows a spiritual path today inclusive of self-styled forms of Druidism, Buddhism, and Tantra, in which she is joined by her husband, close family, and friends. While the Druid aspect and rituals are focused on this website, you will note that even these are self-styled and self-written rituals. Lianne believes that everyone should follow their own spiritual path in life, and should express that path in the fullest beauty of their own inner spirit. Lianne's work today consists of caring for her disabled son, and expressing herself in the virtual world of Second Life, where her avatar, Liliana Bethune, has created extensive public gardens, and many outlets selling virtual products, inclusive of virtual reality jewellery that she empowers to bring healing to its wearers in their real world lives, as well. Her husband and son are cohorts to this adventure. Because of this new focus, Lianne has not written much or created other artworks for some time. But, who knows?
