Ashley was  diagnosed at 7 days old.  We went to her pediatrician for the hiccups,  she couldn't stop.   He sent us to the hospital  and then the hospital  ran all their tests.  They couldn't help her or us so they sent us to Boston Children's.  They ran all the tests and we thought she wasn't going make it.   They had her on dialysis  and she was in ICU for a 5 days.   Then they told us all about ASA  and how she will have new milk and foods.

When she was two,  she stopped eating  and she had reflux, so they put a tube through her nose.  We then went for a mickey button and we have a g-tube.   We have had a bumpy ride with her.  We went to Boston to see the liver specialist  in 2002 and  she  was monitered for her liver being enlarged.

On June 13, 2003 she had a liver transplant.   She is doing great now.  She can eat anything now and doesn't have to take that formula.  Her seizures are gone, so no more meds for that either.  She is currently on 3 meds.  She is growing and gaining weight and we are hoping that in August 2005 she will get her g-tube out.

She is still behind in speech and she doesn't know how to hold a pencil or crayon correctly yet.  She is receiving PT and OT.
