After Stayman and responder does not find a major fit, a jump to four of a minor shows four of that minor, either 4-4-4-1 or 4-4-3-2 distribution and slam aspirations.

With support, opener raises responder to 5 or 6 of the minor.

Without support, opener may bid 4NT to announce 4-3-3-3 distribution or opener may re-bid 4 of a new suit to show a side 4 card suit.
