Bridge Netiquette

Here are a few very simple things that will make your game more enjoyable if you do them regularly as a host, or as a guest at the Bridge Site.

1. When hosting a table, greet the guests with hello, welcome, whatever.

2. When joining a table, please say hello, hi, or whatever before asking for the score to be cleared, bidding, etc.

3. Check for a profile. Actually, be sure you have one yourself, if hosting a table.

4. If a verbal query for bid clarification is necessary, please only have this discussion once with partner, i.e. W/S?

5. If in doubt as to the ability of partner, just bid 1NT at the first available opportunity and it will all come very clear especially if you stick to your conventions that you have listed in your profile. :)

5. Please try and announce that you will be leaving, this is last hand, etc. before exiting. If you are known to do this, more hosts will protect a table when you do have a disconnect, and when you return the game will continue.
