Sesame Cookies
Preheat oven 375 degrees
½ cup softened margarine
½ cup softened butter
¼ cup sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
½ to 3/4 cup sesame seeds
With electric mixer blend margarine, butter, and sugar
on low speed.
Stir in vanilla and almond extract.
Add flour and mix on low speed until combined.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on waxed paper.
Take tablespoons of dough and roll into 1 inch balls.
Roll balls in sesame seeds.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly
with fork.
Bake for approximately15 minutes (until lightly
brown).
*Option:
Before baking you can indent the center of the cookie
and fill with your favorite preserves. Either way it is “out of this world”.
