Helen’s Anisette Drop Cookies
Preheat
oven 350 degrees
1
stick butter softened
1
cup sugar
2
tsp vanilla
3
eggs
3
tsp baking powder
3
cups flour
Pinch
salt
3
tsp anisette
Icing:
1
cup powdered sugar
2
tbsp milk
1
tsp anisette
Beat
butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light.
Add
baking powder, flour, salt and anisette and mix well.
Drop
by tablespoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake
10-15 minutes until light golden.
When
still slightly warm, mix icing ingredients and drizzle on top of cookies.
Let
cool until icing hardens.
*May
also be made with lemon extract, using the same quantities in the recipe.
