Old Tobacco Tins
William Cornell & Co., commenced business as wholesale and retail tobacconists from premises known as 'Havana House,' at 55 Rundle St, Adelaide, around 1898.

The year 1914 saw the company form into a limited liability operation trading in the style of Cornell Limited. Their spacios office, warehouse, and show rooms, were housed together in a four-storey building located on the north side of Pirie St on the Hyde Street corner.
By 1933, Messrs. F.W., L.H., and C.E. Cornell, had succeeded their late father William as directors of the firm. The company continued to occupy the Pirie Street site, and remained solvent until it ceased operations around the early 1960s.
