Jack Alexander a former coach driver established a business around the year 1900 which specialised in harness dressing, boot polish, floor wax, etc
His factory was located on Mackinnon Parade, North Adelaide. Business prospered for Jack, and he opened new branch factories in Victoria and Queensland.
The company left North Adelaide in the late 1950s to relocate to Manfull Street, Edwardstown.
This extremely rare and interesting old tin dates around 1920. It would probably have a value exceeding $200 |
