The Sturt Manufacturing Company had premises on Currie Street, between Bloor Court and Gilles Arcade, Adelaide.
They commenced business around 1919 and were described as manufacturers of chicken meal, pea sausages, health saline, jelly crystals, custard powders, parrot food, etc.,
The company operated until September 1927. Then J.T. Kevern a grocer and tea merchant of North Adelaide, joined with the former company, to form Kevern-Sturt Co, Ltd.
This most attractive tin dates early to mid 1920s and would have a value exceeding $120 in very good condition. |
