The original company was formed around 1892 by Edward Williamson. It traded successfully from modern premises of the day, in Waymouth Street. Trading ceased on the death of the companies founder.
The confectionery giant, Walton's Ltd purchased the business in 1931, and moved all the machinery to their factory in Grote Street, Adelaide.
The delightful old tin would date around the late 1920s and would have a value of $100+
