| Menz & Co have their origins in Wakefield Street, Adelaide, in 1850, when John Menz commenced a humble grocers shop which became a family concern. Mr. W. Menz took over the founders business, and was joined by A.H. Menz who both used business skill and youthful enthusiasm to expand business. A biscuit factory was added to the little shop in 1884, and in 1893 a confectionery department was added. The business and factory grew over the years to become a South Australian Icon. They survived and prospered, in 1965 the firm amalgamated and became Arnott-Motteram-Menz Pty Ltd. |
