There was a POPS Missouri State record set during Freefall Express's CASA Boogie. BUT not on the two attempts pictured here. For me, Randall, the guy in the red suit & yellow hair, they were the biggest formations that I'd ever been in on. I got to jump with some skydivers whose skills are way beyond my own. That was cool & a good learning experiance. But the object was to set a record, not teach Randall, so after two tries with the other POPS, I bowed out of the record attempts & made other jumps from the CASA. Like I said, the record was set 2 or 3 tries after these two. The first two images on this page are from the first attempt at the record. This jump was a massive funnel & regroup. The second two images are from the second attempt at the record. I was in on the base. A rock solid 9-way made , but a 10-way had been planned, so no record. Still I was happy to be in on a rock solid 9-way. I can clearly recall making eye contact with Don Jacobs early in the freefall. It was as if we were saying,"Well, Brother, I'm here, you're here & the formation is rock solid, COOL!" It was a good skydive & a lot of fun. I'm proud to have been on it. |
