That was Jim Phillips, tandem Master, Shaun Matney, flying video & still cameras & Dad, Randall, flying for some RW. The Jump came off on load 3 on Friday of the Boogie & was everything that all parties could have hoped for. The jump was a hoot from exit through the "stand 'em up landing" Courtney had done a tandem out of the Kingair with Jim on last year's boogie & digs the extra 3.5k feet that a turbin gives us. As mentioned, Shaun flew cameras on the jump & did a kick ass job. Susan Toombs edited the video & did a killer job as well.

Randall gave them a 2 count & followed. The tandem was flat & stable quickly. Randall did the swoop, stop swoop thing and came in from the back so he'd be in frame for a bit if he missed the dock altogether. Well, he got in anyway. It was big fun & naturally Shaun got some good stills as well video. That was Randall's first tandem dock, the beer will follow, I'm sure. |
