"I WISH NO OTHER WEB SHITE, NO OTHER SPEAKER OF MY LIVING ACTIONS"
The Arena, Friday 6th July

Bands: Sheeva/Shiva/Sheva/Shevar and TWR (Nice easy to spell name) and Citizen Six feat. Antihero and Euphoria

Well as you've seen from my little sarcasm with the whole Sheeva thing, we at Old Skool have had some complaints that we may have spelt their name wrong. Well sorry. Anyway on with the review and what an eventful night it was. The room could have had many cats swung in it sadly as the bouncers had decided that 18 was the minimum age allowed in so the average age rose to about 16. The whole thing kicked off with a rather stroppy Sheeva whose P.A was having a levels problem, no fault og there's. However in true professional spirit they carried on to pull off a good set with a quality cover of Gangsta's Paradise. Next up was TWR who have managed to maintain a standard of quality and they pulled off some great tunes with all members on top form. The most controversial act of the evening was Citizen Six made up by Dave and Pete from Antihero and Phil from Lexx. The three piece delivered some excellent numbers with both Pete and Phil on vocals and Dave making his debut on percussion. Despite fears that Dave was going to collapse half way through the set he kept going with consistently good drumming -in that he kept hitting them- and with Marcus and Markland appearing the band were a great live act. Then I went home sadly because I was tired so ask someone else about Euphoria  and the DJs. That's it.
