Dark Elf Slaves

One of the most frightening sights in the Warhammer world is a Black Ark arriving on the shores of a lightly defended coastal town. Striking with lightning speed the Dark Elf raiders assault the town and carry off any survivors before reinforcements can arrive. The unfortunate survivors will then become slaves to the Dark Elves for the rest of their mercifully short lives.

Slave Labour

The life of a Dark Elf Slave is hell at best. Malnourished and constantly beaten for the enjoyment of their cruel masters the slaves are forced to perform backbreaking labour. They are found working in the mines and quarries of Hag Graef and the forests of Clar Karond. The slaves are forced to cater to the needs of decadent Elven Lords in the great cities of Naggaroth.

Forced labour is but one of the cruel fates that Dark Elf Slaves are dealt. They are also used as living sacrifices to Khaine and expendable troops in times of war. When the alters of Khaine cry out for blood the slaves are tortured and then murdered, their blood used to appease the eternal hunger of the Elven god of war.

Slave Warriors

When the Dark Elves march to war they often take along extra slaves to be used as fodder. The Dark Elves receive great pleasure watching their slaves get butchered by the enemy. After the slaves have been sent in to soften up the enemy the real Dark Elf Warriors mop up what remains of their opponents.

Special Rules

Herded Into Battle

Dark Elf Slaves are herded into battle by threats of torture and horrific death. To reflect this if a Slave Regiment is within 8" of a Dark Elf unit or character it may use the Dark Elves leadership.

Expendable Troops

Dark Elf Slave Regiments have no value to Dark Elf Generals other than as fodder and troops to tie up enemies. Therefore Dark Elf units are do not have to test if a unit of slaves panics or is broken in combat. This also applies to any other psychology tests caused by the Dark Elf Slaves.

In addition no self respecting Dark Elf would be seen amongst a Slave Regiment. Therefore no Dark Elf characters may join slave regiments.

Vengeance Against Cruel Masters

Although they fear their dark masters the slaves long for freedom and will attack any Dark Elf unit that shows weakness. If a Dark Elf unit within 8" of a slave regiment flees roll a D6. On a 1-2 the slaves will charge the Dark Elf Unit. If they cannot charge the slaves will panic. On a roll of 3-4 the slaves take a leadership test if they are   normally required to. On a roll of 5-6 the slaves will flee automatically. A fleeing slave unit will never rally.

Note if a Goblin unit rolls a 1-2 above they will not attack a Dark Elf unit unless they outnumber them 2 to 1.
