Description

tEdbot is a Quake client bot, and was dreamt up one day between myself (Grant Davies) and my friend (Ramanan Rajeswaran).

Current Status
Name: tEdbot
Type of bot: client
OS: MS-DOS or Win95
Networking: IPX in DOS, TCP/IP in Win95
Fully autonomous? Yes! It's NOT a proxy bot. There's a command-line interface like Terminator's (except more commands) but it will happily run without any human interference. The CLI can be used to obtain stats about what the bot can see, what he's doing, change his current objectives, etc.
Features: decent navigation through entire level, weapon/item/backpack collection, persistent player attacking, deep item searches, missile avoidance, unpredictable running and strafing in close combat (hard to hit), predictive fire (rarely misses with any gun)

Demos in .DEM format
Note that some of the recordings have a 'Report' text file attached to them. You should read this to see some statistics about that frag-fest, and also to read our notes about tEdbot's performance.
