Crazy Cake

This makes a square cake pan--Double recipe for 9
inch x 13 inch pan.
Sift into the baking pan:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
3 Tablespoons cocoa
Make 3 wells and put one of these ingredients in
each:
6 Tablespoons oil
1 Tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pour 1 cup cold water over all. Stir with a fork.
Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Frosting:
Melt together:
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
Boil one minute and pour over hot cake. Top with
nuts or marshmallows.
