Crude Oil Production Display at the
Wood County Museum in Bowling Green, Ohio

The first diplay of oil  related equipment was begun at a spring show in 1995. By 1996 an actual "operating power house" had been constructed. Plans were made the following year to erect the steam-powered drilling derrick, with construction completed in 1999.

The push-pull power was replaced in 2002 with a 16' wooden bandwheel.
The bandwheel, as with most of the other equipment on display at the site,
were used on oil-lease's located in the Northwest Ohio, oil-fields.

30 and 100 barrel oil tanks
The oil display was first started in 1995  with the set-up  of a 16 Hp. Jones
and a Push-Pull power for an annual  spring show at the historical center.
Both of  these items were originally used on  oil leases
with-in 15 miles of the museum itself.
