George Washington Trout
first son of Samuel and Louisa Jane (Ward) Trout. When George was 13 years old he joined the Confederate Army, and served with the other half breed Cherokees in G. 2nd Cherokee Calvary, C.S.A. and fought in the Civil War, under General Stand Watie. George was in the only two battles fought in Oklahoma-- Cabin Creek, and Honey Springs. He was reported to be the last soldier alive that knew where the bodies were buried in those two battles, and died keeping it a secret. Like Bryan and John, he was also a trader, he had a store. In 1868, he married Mary F. Eaton and they had 5 children. George died in 1931, and is buried at Big Cabin, OK.

John Logan Trout
the first son of George and Mary, was born April 18, 1876-in Cherokee Nation, Delaware CO.,OK. He attended the Cherokee Male Seminary, and later operated a mill and elevator, and was a membr of the Woodsmen of the World. He married Edna Jane (Jennie) walls (waughs?) in 1844, and they had 9 children. John L. died in Big Cabin, in 1946.

Robert Veachel Trout
The second son of John and Jennie was born Dec. 25, 1907, in Big Cabin, OK. He married Maudie Lee Wood of Salisaw, OK. Jan., 1928. They only had one child , a son, Clinton Eugene born Nov. 24, 1928. Robert died Jan. 11, 1958.

Clinton Eugene Trout
Married Velma Jean Spence, and they had 2 daughters-Sheryl and Candace. Eugene died Oct. 1968-- and that was the end of "this" Ward/Trout Family Line.
