Honda CT70H K1
Here is a picture of the cleaned up battery compartment. All that is missing is the gas cap and the plastic cover for the battery area. Some of the color-matched bolts were used to hold the seat down.
I pulled the motor apart cleaned it and made sure everything was functioning correctly. The original phillips-head motor screws are always stripped out so I replaced them with stainless allen head ones, They look good and make future disassembly much easier. Even with a rebuild the old carbs rarely function correctly so I put on a new carb and air cleaner. Along with new cables these made a huge difference in throttle response and power. Here you can see the European grab handle which helps prevent breaking the seatpan.
I went through a few sets of "straight" handle bars from Ebay, they are all crap. I bought a set of reproduction bars, new grips, new throttle assembly, cables, and levers. That was the best decision, throttle and brake response is like new. The old headlights were sealed and are very expensive but can be replaced with much cheaper units that use standard automotive bulbs. The speedometer reads 3700 miles but this bike runs like new.
