1970 Honda QA50 K0
When it rains it pours, I wasn't planning on getting another bike for awhile but found this little guy on the internet. It was a good price and came with an extra motor. The plan is to use it as a parts mule and maybe sell the extra parts, although two QA50's does have a nice ring. Time and money will tell, oh and my wife. (4-29-07)
Well the QA beast is running, or at least a collection of parts. Here's what it took, restored carb, new coil, new cap, new brakes, new tires and tubes, new cable set, new levers, and new fuel lines, pretty much everything I didn't have. It was pretty rough looking but it was loud and hauled me around the parking lot. The pictures didn't turn out and I have already started breaking it down for a complete restoration so stay tuned for updates. Since we are moving, the extra QA and parts are going to have to go, I just don't have the room to store them. (7-01-07)
I degreased and cleaned up the yellow tank, since I was using the blue one and low and behold it looks pretty nice. The rattling inside turned out to be some pieces of plastic. I guess I will restore this one and sell the blue one.
