1970 QA50 K0 |
These funny little bikes were only produced from 1970-1975 because the Z50s had become road legal and too heavy for their original purpose, off-roading. The QA's had swivel handlebars and only weighed 86 lbs and with the short tires were more easily transported than Z's. This little guy (with motor) was picked up for $150. They aren't as desirable as the Z50s right now but are rarer and harder to find complete and in good condition. Oh, and replacement parts are few and far between. With the little tires, plastic fenders, and 2 speed motor the QA's have grown on me. (1/10/07) |

It is a little cold here in Iowa for pictures so I will get some posted when it gets warmer. (1/13/07) |

Here is a seat bracket I got off Ebay. The design of these bikes is kind of odd. The seat mount has a lower piece attached to a hinged upper piece which sits on a rubber mount. The seat pan then mounts to this setup. This one is kind of bent and will require some help then, it will get taken apart and POR'd like the Z50 pan. (2/11/07) |

After some metal adjustment cleaning and painting the seatpan looks like new. Now it needs something nice to mount to. (2/15/07) |
